4. Configuring the Sidekick for SnapTrack with your Iridium Pilot

 
  • Connect the USB power cable between the Sidekick and the AC power adapter or other optional USB power source.
    Once the unit powers up the green Wireless light will come on. After a moment the red Ready light will come on as well indicating that the device is ready for use.
  • Connect an ethernet cable between the Sidekick and the satellite modem or BDU.
     
Next open the Sidekick web interface by opening your web browser and visiting the website: http://192.168.8.1
 
Login: ocensadmin
 
  • Select "Broadband settings"
  • Set the Protocol to "Static"
 
Now set the following:
IP Address:192.168.0.xxx (between 2 and 254)
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1  (IP address of the Pilot)
DNS: 10.20.20.30
 
Click on Submit to save the settings.
 
You should now be able to point your browser to 192.168.0.1 and open the Iridium Pilot login page. If this is working you are now ready to use the system with OCENS software set to use "Network Connection" (see software help file for further details).
 
Open the Sidekick web interface again by opening your web browser and visiting the website: http://192.168.8.1

Now open the SnapTrack settings menu.
 
Change the Device setting  to "Iridium Pilot"
Choose the update interval you want
Enter your SnapTrack username and password
 
Click on Submit to save the settings.
