From the main menu, select Groups and then choose Create a New Group
Next choose whether your New Group is going to be Public or Private
Public Groups can be seen by all users. Only Public user can join Public Groups. This is similar to a online forum type setup and great for connecting with other users with similar interests (such as cruising groups that might be talking about specific cruising grounds as an example).
Private Groups cannot be seen by other users unless the owner (user that created the group) has added the user to the group.
Provide a name for the Group
If your Group is public just click OK at this point.
If your Group is Private, you will need to add users to your Group by selecting users from the contacts list and clicking the ">>" button to add them to the list. If you know a users screen name you can enter it directly into the field labeled "Type screen name here" and click the "+" to add that user.
Once you have added all the users you want to your list click OK. You now need to click the GO button to perform a connection to the server - this will create the group and sync the contacts for that group.
After this you can open the chat session window -> click New Chat -> click the + to Choose your contacts - and under the Groups tab you should see your new group as an option.
