The first time you open OneMessage you will see the Connection Settings window
You will need to enter your account Username and Password.
SMS Phone
If you want SMS notifications sent to your satellite phone (Iridium, Inmarsat, or Globalstar) enter that number here.
This service will send a short SMS to your satellite phone notifying you that you have waiting messages on the server.
Make user state Public
If you want to have your messaging account be visible to other OneMessage users check the Make user state Public box.
If your state is Public, the line will say "Make user state Private". Being public prevents your screen name from being visible in the Public user contact list. Other users can still message you if they know your screen name. This will also prevent you from being able to access any public group message sessions. The default setting for your account when you fist signup is Private.
Messaging Gateway
Leave these setting at default unless directed by OCENS support staff.
Network Timeouts
Leave these setting at default unless directed by OCENS support staff.
Connection Information
Default Connection
Set this to the connection you are using to the internet.
Type
Set the connection type you are using.
Auto-Transfer
Here you can tell the software to automatically perform check for any messages. This option is compatible only when the Default Connection is set to Network Connection.
Advanced
If your equipment and network service require customized unique setting you may need to enter them here.
Connection Wizard
If you are using a satellite phone that requires a dialup modem type configuration you can use the Connection Wizard to assist you setting this connection of for the first time.
Once you have completed filling out the settings page you will see the main OneMessage window.
Please note that you must press the GO button to perform a connection to the OCENS server once to complete your Username entry and fully enable text messaging.
