To enable data connections via the LT-4100 and Sidekick
Connect your Sidekick LAN port to your LT-4100 ethernet port.
Turn on LT-4100
On the unit select Menu -> System -> Network
Record the IP Address (e.g. 192.168.8.145) that is shown
Connect your computer or device to the Sidekick Wi-Fi network
Open a web browser and enter the IP Address of the LT-4100 (e.g. 192.168.8.145)
You will be asked to login.. Use 'admin' for both username and password
From the menu on the left choose
Configuration -> Network -> ethernet interface
Change the Mode to 'DHCP server'
Scroll down the page just a bit and un-check the "Enable" box under "Outgoing Firewall"
Click apply - > the unit should now reboot.
Now you can switch the ethernet cable on the Sidekick from LAN to the WAN port. You should also reboot the Sidekick at this time.
Note: To log back into the LT-4100 web interface you will use the new IP address of 192.168.1.1
Your system is now ready to be used with the Sidekick. Make sure that in the OCENS software your connection settings are set to: Default Connection: Network
When you are ready to enable a data service, press the "Data Start" button on the LT-4100.
When you are finished using data for the time being press the "Data Stop" button to turn off the connection.
